Guess what’s been on my “to do” list for at least 8+ years: practice kegel exercises. Yes indeed, I cannot seem to get this item checked off my list. Kegel exercises are an easy, simple and healthy habit to incorporate into our lives. Yet I think most of “us” women have a hard time getting it done.
We know the warnings, if you’ve been pregnant, had kids, are overweight or just plain “female” – you’re probably going to experience incontinence. A lot of us know women, generations ahead of us, who have had issues related to a weak pelvic floor. Yet, it’s easy to falter on getting this simple “to do” done.
The Mayo Clinic provides a great how-to guide on how to get started and a daily practice doesn’t even take three minutes a day. Let me repeat, IT TAKES LESS THAN THREE MINUTES A DAY. Just writing that tells me how silly it is that my laziness has prevailed. I can’t afford for anymore time to pass before I get started, age is creeping up on me.
I am committing to you today, that I’m making a conscious effort to tackle my pelvic floor so that I can prevent and limit my drips and leaks as I age. How about joining me?

I am doing them right now…
That’s what I like to hear! And keep going Patty!
This is the kind of topic we need to talk about on a site primarily for women. Thanks, Peggy!
Right on, thanks Lynn. Now get exercising!
