In this digital age, we never look and touch actual photographs anymore. And though I have never been a scrap booker (they are too fussy and time consuming for me), I do enjoy looking at photo albums or picture books.
However, the last time I actually had photos made and put them into a photo album was after I got married – 7 years ago!
When my son was born almost 4 years ago, I created a photo blog so that my family who does not live nearby could still see him and his changes via the blog. I also decided that I would write him a newsletter every month talking about what he was doing.
I have kept it up and now write a monthly newsletter to my daughter too. My family loves it and they feel much more connected to both of my kids knowing what they are into right now, what they are doing and saying.
When my son turned one, my husband surprised me by putting all of the newsletters and some photos into an actual book. I love having them and looking back at his baby days. And he loves to look through them too; he can’t believe he was so tiny.
How about you? What do you do with all of those digital images? Do you at least back up them up somehow? That’s something I need to work on myself.
