Have you ever had a day where you just feel plain old crabby? You feel ‘off’ somehow. On a recent Saturday, I had just such a day. My energy was low, I felt sluggish and overweight. I pushed to be positive and well natured, but on that particular Saturday it didn’t come easy. I had an early morning training, followed by the opportunity to help my son with a ride home.
He was selling his car and needed to meet the purchaser in the same area as my training. It all seemed to work out well, until after waiting for over 90 minutes we learned the loan had fallen through for the young man buying my son’s car.
Frustrated, I left and finished my errands, cleaned the house, and did all of my typical Saturday household catch-up. Around 5pm, my husband asked about us going to church. My mood hadn’t improved, so I proposed we stay home and rest. Knowing what was best for my spiritual health, my husband assured me that would not be the case, at 5:10p we left. 55 minutes later, I realized he was right; I needed a spiritual lift and got just what I needed…
How do you connect with your spirit?
Center your energy. Find your centering place. Once there, quiet the chatter around you. Quiet the rush and whirl of the people, situations, or activities you have been involved with. As you become reacquainted with your energetic self; sense the internal calm that this practice brings.
Feel your energy. Be in tune to your whole being. Mediate, pray, create, whatever helps you to connect to yourself; go there. Feel the power and the energetic surge of confidence you experience. The energy-flow generated from your spiritual source will change your perspective and ultimately improve your life.
Make a spiritual choice
Connect and share from your heart. Gandhi asked us, “Be the change you want to see in the world”. This is a spiritual choice we each make. Love, the most powerful energy on this planet, enters in through our spirit. Be open and available to the incredible power found in this connection. Sharing at this level builds trust, commitment, belief and more love. It truly has potential to change the world.
What practical step can you take to improve your Spirit’s health today?
